“We made it official ????,” he captioned a set of photos from their big day.
Aaron and Ericka were actually married on June 22, 2025 at the restaurant The Milling Room on the Upper West Side in New York City.
“We wanted to keep it simple: Close to home, delicious food, good music, and our favorite people,” Ericka told Vogue of their wedding. “We love this city and love our neighborhood. That was a big part of the day feeling like ‘us.’”
The groom wore a Berluti tux and a Cartier watch and cufflinks, while the bride donned a vintage Oscar de la Renta gown. She even wore a veil as her “something borrowed” from best friend Becca Tobin!
“We wanted our ceremony to feel very intentional, meaningful, and celebrate our love and the commitment we were making to each other,” the bride said of their ceremony, which was officiated by friend Jenifer Foote.
Aaron and Ericka first met when they spotted each other during rehearsals for the 2009 Tony Awards, and were introduced by mutual friends after asking about each other.
Though they went on a couple dates then, neither were interested in a serious relationship at the time. They then reconnected almost a decade later when they were both cast in the Broadway production of Moulin Rouge! The Musical (which Aaron won his first Tony for in 2020!).
“It was a slow burn, developing as a friendship and then realizing we were completely in love,” Aaron shared with Vogue. “Even though I am from New York and Ericka is from Canada, we connected over similar upbringings, backgrounds, and moving to New York at the same time in our lives. Besides us both being in the same industry, we found that we both shared a love for the simple things: being at home, cooking meals together, spending time with our families, and traveling.”
They then got engaged in 2023, and welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, in November 2024.
Congratulations to the happy couple on the nuptials!!
If you missed it, Aaron is returning to Broadway this fall in the upcoming musical revival of Chess. Check out a preview of his version of “One Night in Bangkok“!
