Share your memories of Mill Valley — in six words
Happy birthday, Mill Valley! I can’t believe you’re 125 years old.
Having lived in Marin for most of my life, the last five of which being in Mill Valley, I have many fond memories of Mill Valley over the years: celebrating special occasions with my parents and younger brother at Buckeye Roadhouse; watching plays at Tam High School’s Caldwell Theater; sipping many, many cups of coffee outside its coffee shops; attending pool parties at the Mill Valley Community Center as a kid; and walking and exploring its outdoor scenery.
So, in honor of the 125th anniversary of Mill Valley’s incorporation, please share your memories of Mill Valley.
Please make it a six-word story, a personal short story, with a beginning, middle and end. Make us laugh or cry or at the least feel something.
If you want your story to run in the IJ, please:
• Write “Six-word story” in the subject line
• Send one six-word story. Just one
• Include your full name and Marin town in the body of the email, no attachments
• Write your short story in the body of the email, no attachments
• Use proper punctuation and spelling
• Use sentence style in one line
Please send to lifestyles@marinij.com by Sept. 19 and look for it in the Sept. 30 lifestyles section and online.
