Jenny Han Reveals If 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' Could Continue, If The Show Is Really Over Amid Fan Theories

The Summer I Turned Pretty season three finale, and series finale, dropped overnight and fans now know who Belly chose: Conrad or Jeremiah.

Creator and co-showrunner Jenny Han is now speaking out about the show’s ending (and responding to all the fan theories that some secret episodes could be dropping!)

THR asked Jenny, “You’ve implied you’re open to revisiting this series again down the line. Is that still true?”

She responded, “Yeah, if it excites me. I love the world. I love the cast and the people I work with, so it’s really all a matter of the right story and putting that story first.”

About if more episodes are coming, she confirmed, “This is the final season of the show. That is a fact.”

She then left viewers with these lovely words about what she hopes fans take away from the series, “I’d like for people to leave with a feeling that you can make mistakes but there’s always a path forward. Even if something is broken, that doesn’t mean, with time and work, that it can’t be fixed. Belly’s journey is for her to be able to have grace for herself and put aside some of the shame she has for decisions that she’s made. Be gentle with yourself.”
