Kerala High Court directed a mother to return excess interest earned on her children's PPF accounts. The accounts were opened when the children were minors. The mother continued deposits even after they became adults. The court stated that deposits exceeded permissible limits under the Public Provident Fund Act. The Post Office rightly took back Rupees 6,87,021 in accrued interest.
