D4vd Makes Sudden Move as Death Investigation Unfolds
With the police investigation into Celeste Rivas's death underway, R&B singer D4vd has made a major move, apparently literally.
After Rivas's remains were found in the trunk of D4vd's abandoned Tesla, authorities searched a home tied to him in the Los Angeles area. Now, according to The New York Post, the singer "has reportedly broken his lease and moved out of the $4 million mansion he was renting in Los Angeles."
Police searched the four-bedroom home on September 17, according to The Post.
Movers Were Seen at the Rented Mansion Where D4vd Had Stayed, Reports Say
Movers "cleared out" the mansion, Daily Mail reported on September 25.
The British publication obtained photos of "delivery crews hauling furniture and boxes" from the home. It's not clear where D4vd is staying.
To be clear, D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has not been accused by authorities of a crime, nor has he been arrested. In fact, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office hasn't even released a cause of death yet for Rivas, 15, who was reported missing in 2024.
D4vd Is Facing a Series of Questions in the Death Investigation
However, since her remains were found in a Hollywood tow lot, a series of questions have been raised about D4vd. They include:
- The singer and missing girl allegedly shared similar tattoos.
- He recorded a song that used the name "Celeste."
- His music videos and songs are replete with death imagery. The music video for "Romantic Homicide," even features a bloodied woman, and another video shows a person being placed in a trunk, although D4vd played both the victim and suspect in that video.
- Family members believed Rivas had a boyfriend named "David," and her former teacher spoke of a relationship with a rapper.
- Photos are under investigation by police; some have alleged that they show D4vd and Rivas together.
