I know I'm supposed to be retired, but I'm kinda surprised that no one at all in the media has picked up that its possible to see some financial figures for Blues for last season already - thanks to those dreaded four letters HKSE.

I still keep an eye out, and ZO Future Group (the company formerly known as BSHL) released their accounts for the year ending June 30, 2025 on Monday. They're here: [www1.hkexnews.hk]

There's two bits that are interesting:

Firstly:



Which says the club made 28.75m in revenues and made a 39m loss last season

and Secondly



Which says we have nearly £15m in contingency payments outstanding, up from £2.5M.

I've asked people who would knnow at the club about the first figures and got short shrift which makes me think that the club don't really want us to know the situation as it doesn't fit the narrative, but it also means I can't truly verify.

Regardless, we spent a lot of money last year, looks like we did the same this summer and there probably isn't much wiggle room left.
