Over 40 years after Fleetwood Mac released their album Tusk, Stevie Nicks performed one of the LP's deep cuts at her tour opener in Portland, Oregon, on Oct. 1. In her first show since rescheduling tour dates due to a shoulder fracture, Nicks played "Angel" live at the Moda Center for the first time since the 1980s.
Stevie Nicks Played Tusk Track 'Angel' at Tour Opener
Penned by Nicks, the Fleetwood Mac track appeared on the band's classic 1979 studio LP. The legendary artist also co-produced the track alongside her bandmates including Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, Mick Fleetwood, and others.
"Not so much my love affair with him. I was always taken with his style, and in those days he would walk in the room and I would just look up,” Nicks wrote in the Tusk liner notes, per Rolling Stone. “… It's all about him and his crazy fob watch and his really beautiful clothes. He's a very stylish individual and I was just this little California girl who'd never really known anybody like him."
In August, Nicks posted a statement on her social media, which read: "Due to a recent injury resulting in a fractured shoulder that will require recovery time, Stevie Nicks' scheduled concerts in August and September will be rescheduled. Please not that October dates will be unaffected." The letter also added that "Stevie looks forward to seeing everyone soon and apologies to the fans for this inconvenience."
