Holding onto our history … (2 replies)
During the equivalent phase of their development, Manchester City were keen to keep the club rooted in their history and the history of the city of Manchester itself. Two examples of this are the adoption of the worker bee symbol that is associated with the industrial history of the city, and the recognition of the migrant population that historically came to the city for work having parallels with an increase in the number of foreign players representing the club.
These are not my opinions, they are approaches that Manchester City took to embed a culture that ensured the new club was rooted in the past.
I wondered how our club will ensure its bright future is rooted in its history and that of the city of Birmingham?
