Venezuela's President Nicolás Maduro claims the U.S. is waging a war against him as the world's largest warship nears the country. In a national broadcast on Friday, Maduro accused President Donald Trump's administration of "fabricating a new eternal war." The U.S. has increased pressure by moving the aircraft carrier USS Gerald R. Ford closer to Venezuela. Trump has accused Maduro of leading the organized crime gang Tren de Aragua, without evidence. American forces have destroyed several boats off the Venezuelan coast, allegedly involved in drug trafficking, resulting in at least 43 deaths.
