Morning Briefing: Yamamoto Complete Game Evens World Series

Good morning, Mets fans!

The Dodgers pounced back to even the World Series at a game apiece Saturday.

Yoshinobu Yamamato quieted a powerful Blue Jays offense, allowing just one run in nine innings. He struck out eight and didn’t issue any walks. He retired the final 20 batters he faced as the Dodgers won 5-1. It was Yamamoto’s second complete game this postseason.

Sunday is a travel day for the World Series. The teams now head to Los Angeles for three games. Max Scherzer will face Tyler Glasnow when the series resumes Monday at 7 p.m.
