Rosamund Pike and Matthew Rhys play parents in a stressful situation in the minimalistic thriller “Hallow Road.” They're awoken late one night to a phone call from their teenage daughter, who has left their home after a fight and possibly killed someone on her drive away. Filmmaker Babak Anvari keeps the setting contained to the parents' car as they drive to help their daughter. In her review for The Associated Press, film writer Lindsey Bahr writes that it is “an effectively minimalistic thriller that leaves much room for interpretation...and a good option for anyone looking for something creepy ... without the gore.” “Hallow Road” is in theaters Friday.
