Political violence has claimed nearly 300 lives in Bangladesh since Sheikh Hasina's ouster. A human rights group reported 281 deaths in political clashes and 40 extrajudicial killings. An additional 153 individuals were lynched. While human rights have seen some improvement, law enforcement accountability remains a concern. Extortion and mob attacks are also reported.
