At least nine people are dead after a UPS cargo plane crashed in Kentucky. The Federal Aviation Administration says the plane crashed Tuesday afternoon as it took off for Honolulu from Louisville’s Muhammad Ali International Airport. Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear says 11 other people suffered “very significant" injuries. Video showed flames on the plane’s left wing and a trail of smoke. The plane lifted slightly off the ground before crashing and exploding in a ball of flames. Louisville Fire Department Chief Brian O’Neill says several of those killed were on the ground. The airport resumed some operations Wednesday morning.
