On Friday, November 16, India A and Pakistan A faced off in the Asia Cup Rising Stars tournament, where Pakistan A won the match. However, the behavior of the Pakistani players once again came under scrutiny. Pakistani spinner Saad Masood did something that angered Indian fans. After dismissing Indian batsman Naman Dhir, Masood made a gesture that sparked controversy.

On the fourth ball of the ninth over, the leg-spinner had Naman Dhir caught. The previous delivery had been hit for a boundary towards fine leg by Dhir, but he was dismissed on the next ball. In response, Pakistan chased down the target in just 13.2 overs, losing only two wickets. Maaz Sadaqat remained unbeaten on 79. Yash Thakur and Suyash Sharma took one wicket each for India. India’s next match is against hosts Oman on Tuesday, November 18.
