Giants Receive Major News On QB Jaxson Dart Before Patriots Matchup
The Patriots will host the Giants on “Monday Night Football.” As New England is looking to secure its 10th consecutive win, it faces a challenge, especially with New York likely to welcome back one of its star players.
Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart passed through the concussion protocol on Thursday, making it likely that he will take the field against New England.
Dart missed the last two games due to a concussion he suffered in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears.
Despite the Giants’ 2-10 record, Dart has been a standout player. He has thrown for 1,417 yards and recorded 10 touchdowns against three interceptions, while also rushing for 317 yards and scoring seven touchdowns in nine games.
In the two games that Dart missed, backup quarterback Jameis Winston stepped in, throwing for 567 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions. However, he couldn’t lead the Giants to victory, as they fell to the Detroit Lions 34-17 in overtime last Sunday.
The Patriots are going to need to ensure they can contain Dart in the pocket because once he breaks out, he can make big plays that can hurt a defense.
