Twelve killed in Sydney mass shooting at Jewish Hanukkah event

At least 12 people were killed and 29 others injured in a mass shooting on Sunday evening at Bondi Beach in Sydney. Police confirmed the attack targeted the Jewish community attending a Hanukkah celebration and declared it a terrorist incident.

The assault unfolded around 6:30 p.m. local time during the "Chanukah by the Sea" event organised by Chabad of Bondi. More than 1,000 people, including children and families, were gathered in Archer Park adjacent to the beach.
