The Orissa High Court has sought a response from the Odisha government regarding a PIL challenging last-minute fee revisions for MBBS and BDS courses for the 2025-26 academic session. The petition alleges that the arbitrary fee hike of approximately 78% in private medical colleges has negatively impacted meritorious students from economically weaker sections.
