Seven elephants, including four calves, were killed and another calf injured when the Rajdhani Express struck a herd in Assam's Hojai district. The collision derailed the locomotive and five coaches. Forest officials and railway authorities exchanged blame over warnings and the absence of an elephant detection system at the site.
