Brooke Eby Warns About Googling Yourself After Reddit Discovery
Brooke Eby is opening up about the dangers of searching up your name on the internet.
The ALS advocate uploaded a TikTok recently to discuss what she found.
She says she had something really scary happen the other day: stumbling across a Reddit post using her video on a forum for “influencer snark.”

On the page, they were discussing one of Brooke‘s old videos where she said “dieting is not worth your time, coming from someone who’s dying.” The disclaimer on the post said, “Would never snark on Brooke, but…” and her video was brought up in relation to an unnamed “pro-anorexia influencer.”

“I saw four names all within a few scrolls where people were saying like, ‘Omg. She is such a bad person,’” Brooke said, sharing that those same girls are very nice to her and regularly check in on her.
She then joked that she’d like to see what people would say about her, but “I don’t ever get to hear what people don’t like, ’cause no one’s brave enough to snark on a terminal girl … You know, don’t say it, you’ll get in trouble, but like, what would you say?”
