India achieved a record 44.5 GW of renewable energy capacity addition by November this year, with solar leading the surge at 35 GW. This brings the total installed renewable capacity to 253.96 GW, a significant 23% increase from the previous year. Rooftop solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana have also surpassed 25 lakh households.
