Union Home Minister Amit Shah has pledged to remove all illegal infiltrators from Assam within the next five years. He stated that the BJP government has already removed many such individuals. Shah criticized past Congress governments for policies that he claims facilitated the settlement of illegal immigrants for vote bank purposes.
