“Although it’s sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are blessed with a beautiful son and will continue to be the best parents possible,” they said in a statement to People.

They split up about one year ago, according to the report. They share a son, Lars, who will be 9 in January. They welcomed their son in January of 2017. If you don’t know, they announced the pregnancy in 2016.

Mel has 8 other kids. Six of the kids are from his marriage to ex wife Robyn Moore, and he has a teen daughter with Oksana Grigorieva.
