Tottenham fans are furious at latest dressing room report on Brennan Johnson sale
Tottenham supporters have responded sharply to reports of unease inside the Spurs dressing room, amid Brennan Johnson’s impending sale to Crystal Palace.
Brennan Johnson finally made his pick following interest from a host of Premier League clubs who were keen on picking him up from Tottenham in January.
It is Crystal Palace who managed to reach an agreement with both Spurs and Johnson for the signature of the winger, who is set to be sold for £33.5m.
The Welshman was left out of Spurs’ matchday squad in their New Year’s Day Premier League clash against Brentford, a hint that his exit is imminent.

With the 24-year-old’s sale edging closer, it was reported that Spurs’ decision to part with Johnson did not go down well with some of the players in the dressing room, given the Wales international’s influence, with some players unhappy.
Tottenham supporters have caught wind of the reports on social media and many have offered blunt responses towards the frustrated players, urging them to get a grip.
One fan said: “Name those players then and tell them they are up for sale as well. Are they going to be upset when Ben Davies is gone as well?”
Another added: “Tough s**t. I love Brennan, but players cannot cry every time one of their pals leaves.”
A third Tottenham fan commented: “Oh well, that is football. You do not make decisions to sell players based on how popular they are. I like Johnson, but he has not been playing or offering anything when he does. Time to move on.”
One more stated: “We are not going to keep him to be a cheerleader, are we?”
Another Tottenham fan said: “Bang average b**s backing bang average b**s. Bet the majority are shitting themselves that the club has started accepting realistic offers for the shite we have in the squad.”
One fan left it blunt: “Who gives a flying f**k. Some of these players need to look at themselves and give themselves a pep talk. We want to see it on the pitch. I like Brennan, he scored some important goals and will be remembered, but on the eye he is frustrating to watch.”
The responses kept coming, with one adding: “Good, glad they are upset. If they keep up these performances, they will be next. It is what we have needed.”
Another summed it up by saying: “He is not good enough. I do not care how popular he is.”
What Johnson exit means for Spurs moving forward
Players can react however they want, but this is the nature of the business. If you do not perform, you get sold, and that looks to be the case here with Johnson, whom Paratici and Thomas Frank revealed their plans ahead of his decision to join Crystal Palace.
Tottenham must now turn their attention to replacing the wide forward who has been instrumental in finding the back of the net.
Aklilouche continues to be linked with Spurs as a wide option, while RB Leipzig’s Diomande is another name being mentioned in connection with Tottenham.
