“The surrogacy journey is on a positive trajectory,” said the 40-year-old former reality star. “We just signed our contract and are now awaiting next steps for a transfer, but it’s hard to explain unless you’re in it.”
“It’s hopeful and it’s exciting, but it’s also tiring and exhausting, like, you have all the hope in the world and you want to spread all this positive energy, but you’ve also had such failures that it’s hard for you to imagine anything going right,” she continued.
Whitney and Tim became parents in 2017 with the arrival of their son, Sonny. In the years that followed, she experienced several miscarriages. After facing challenges with secondary infertility, the couple decided in 2023 to pursue parenthood through a gestational carrier.
“Some days I feel fragile, other days I feel scared. Most days I feel, like, ‘Let’s go, let’s do this,’ and most of the time, I feel all of it in the same hour,” Whitney shared.
The couple will soon schedule a transfer, though Whitney admitted she feels anxious, as she only has three embryos remaining.
“I’ve kind of told myself right now, ‘If these three don’t work, we’re probably not going to continue to try,’” she revealed, noting she’s unsure she could go through egg retrieval again.
Still, Whitney emphasized the importance of staying hopeful.
“I’m a firm believer in manifesting and visualizing something and throwing positive energy out on it,” she said.
