Jacob Elordi Picks Up First Major Acting Award at Critics' Choice Awards 2026 for 'Frankenstein'
Jacob Elordi is officially a winner!
The 28-year-old actor just won his first major acting award at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday evening (January 4) at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif.
Jacob won the Best Supporting Actor in a movie trophy for his role as The Creature in Netflix’s Frankenstein, something he was unprepared for as evident in his short speech.

“Bloody hell. I really didn’t plan for it,” he said. “Thank you, Guillermo del Toro. I love you. We all love you. You made my dreams when I was 11. I’m so happy to be here.”
He also shouted out Tamara Deverell, Kate Hawley and Mike Hill for their respective wins for Best Production Design, Best Costume Design and Best Hair and Makeup, all for their work on the movie as well. “You guys are geniuses!”
The night before, Frankenstein received the Visionary Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Film Awards.
Jacob is also nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the upcoming 2026 Golden Globe Awards, which take place next weekend!
