Odessa A'zion Responds to Rumors That Her Curly Hair is a Wig

Odessa A’zion is responding to some of the online chatter about her hair.

The 25-year-old Marty Supreme star chatted with Deadline at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 4) about whether or not her now-signature curls are actually a wig.

“There’s a whole debate, ‘Is it a wig? Is it not?’ I guess we’ll never know. No, I’m kidding,” she said.

She then went on to explain that she did, in fact, wear a wig for the Marty Supreme premiere in Los Angeles. However, the New York premiere featured her real hair.

“The gag is the L.A. premiere [of Marty Supreme] was a wig and [for] the New York premiere, it took me five hours to do my hair and everyone thinks it’s a wig,” Odessa explained.

“You think I can afford a wig like that and wear it all the time?” the I Love LA star added. “Those are so expensive … I’ve heard wigs can go up to like $20- or $30,000. Are you f–king kidding me? I don’t even have a hair, makeup and stylist because I’m trying to save my money.”

“Maybe one day,” she added.
