Timothy Busfield's Wife Melissa Gilbert 'Supports Her Husband' as 'Legal Process Unfolds': Rep
Melissa Gilbert‘s rep has shared a comment after her husband, Timothy Busfield, has reportedly surrendered to the police in New Mexico.
If you did not see the news, an arrest warrant was issued for him and he is said to now be in police custody. The former West Wing actor is facing two counts of criminal sexual contact of a minor and one count of child abuse.
He has been accused of sexually abusing two boys, who were allegedly 7 and 8 at the time, on the set of The Cleaning Lady when he was directing an episode of the canceled Fox TV show back in 2022.

Her rep shared with Just Jared, “Melissa Gilbert is not making public statements at this time,” the statement began. “Any purported ‘statements’ circulating online — including AI-generated deepfakes of her ‘breaking her silence’ — should not be treated as coming from her. She is honoring the request of Tim’s lawyers not to speak publicly while the legal process unfolds. During this period, her focus is on supporting and caring for their very large family, as they navigate this moment. Melissa stands with and supports her husband and will address the public at an appropriate time. We ask that their privacy be respected.”
