The Danish and Greenlandic foreign ministers are set to visit the White House on Wednesday in a high-stakes effort to ease tensions over Greenland, after President Donald Trump said the territory “needs” to become part of the United States. Denmark’s foreign minister had initially sought talks with his US counterpart Marco Rubio, but the discussions were moved to the White House after Vice President JD Vance asked to take part.
