Popular Hair Growth Product Recalled After 25,000 Units Sold in U.S.
A popular hair growth product is being recalled due to the risk of serious injury or death from child poisoning.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced on Thursday that Ruahouine's hair growth serum bottles are being recalled nationwide because they do not meet the standard for child-resistant packaging.
The serum comes in transparent amber dropper bottles, with “Ruahouine”, “Minoxidil Hair Growth Serum”, and “5% Minoxidil With Biotin” printed on labels wrapped around the bottles.
Some 25,000 units were sold nationwide on Amazon from January 2025 through July 2025 for around $10.

While no injuries or deaths have been reported, the agency warns consumers should immediately secure the recalled serum bottles and place them out of sight and reach of children.
Customers who purchased the product on Amazon can contact Ruahouine for instructions on how to destroy the recalled bottles and how to receive a refund or replacement bottle.
The agency notes that consumers will be asked to pour the contents of the bottle into the trash, take a photo of the bottle in the trash, and email it to ruahouine@gmail.com.
