Daru police apprehended Chandan Kumar near the Shivane River, seizing 48 kg of ganja valued at several lakhs. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted Kumar who was allegedly transporting the contraband from Siliguri to Ranchi. Investigations are ongoing to apprehend his associates involved in the smuggling racket.
