Senior BJP leader and former Maharashtra minister Raj K Purohit, a prominent voice for north Indian communities in Mumbai, has passed away at the age of 71 following an illness. Purohit, who served as the party's city president and chief whip in the assembly, was known for his deep grassroots connect and advocacy for migrant tenants.
