The song samples “Mewtwo” by Ken Carson, and Brent Faiyaz’s “Full Moon (Fall in Tokyo),” which samples “Mewtwo.”
The track sees A$AP looking to stay in the moment with his love, presumably referring to longtime partner Rihanna, with whom he shares three children.
“Been thinkin’ and pursuin’, I see life through a new lens / It’s shakin’, that s–t movin’, been thinkin’ you should move in / Let’s mate and have a few kids, why the f–k not? Truth is I just got struck by Cupid,” he declares.
At the end of the song, A$AP calls out people who are “disappointed” that he’s not living the “player” life.
“This is just a quick one for you dumb, narrow-minded motherf–kers out there, I am not a player,” he declares in the outro.
“Listen to any of my shows, read any of my motherf–kin’ stories / And you will see that I have never called myself a player / So some of you n–s around here that’s, quote, unquote, look up to me seem to feel that you’re disappointed ’cause I’ve taken this latest relationship step that I’ve taken / Let me tell y’all n–as somethin’ / F–k y’all n–s.”
