2026 Berlin Film Festival Unveils Exciting Program
The 2026 Berlin Film Festival has unveiled its full list of competition features, joining previously announced films including Shahrbanoo Sadat's romantic comedy No Good Men, Ulrike Ottinger'sThe Blood Countess, and Aidan Zamiri's The Moment.
In typical fashion, the 76th Berlinale leans heavily on international cinema in its competition section. Brazilian director Karim Aïnouz will premiere his latest film, Rosebush Painting—a dark family thriller starring Callum Turner, Pamela Anderson, and Elle Fanning.
Hungarian filmmaker Kornél Mundruczó, best known for his Oscar-nominated feature Pieces of a Woman, will also premiere his latest feature in competition. At The Sea is described as a deeply personal drama starring Amy Adams, Brett Goldstein, Dan Levy, and Rainn Wilson.
Beth de Araujo's new film Josephine will surely make a splash in the competition section; her sophomore feature is a tightly-paced thriller starring Channing Tatum and Gemma Chan with plenty of festival buzz.
Other projects starring Juliette Binoche, Sandra Hüller, Bill Pullman, and Rupert Grint will also screen in competition. The full list can be found below:

Ethan Hawke and Russell Crowe star in historical thriller The Weight, Sam Rockwell and Haley Lu Richardson lead Gore Verbinski's Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die, and Charli xcx appears in her 'Brat'-inspired mockumentary, The Moment.
This year marks the second edition of the Berlinale under program director Tricia Tuttle, an American film journalist who took over the position in 2025.
