Seventy-five years ago, Estonians arrived in Canada carrying little more than hope. They came as refugees—having fled war, occupation, and the loss of home, family, and certainty. For many, Canada was safe, but unfamiliar. A new language. A new climate. A new way of life. What they longed for most was reassurance that they were not alone.
