Stubb: Europe can defend itself, NATO not in crisis

President Alexander Stubb and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte called for deeper European responsibility in defence at the World Economic Forum in Davos as transatlantic tensions intensified over the status of Greenland.

The two leaders joined a high-level panel on European security shortly before US President Donald Trump arrived in Switzerland. Trump has renewed demands for the US to acquire Greenland and threatened tariffs on eight European states, including Finland.
