Seattle Seahawks Quarterback Sam Darnold is not married, but he will soon have a wife. Darnold is engaged to his girlfriend, Katie Hoofnagle.
In fact, she shared a collage of photos showing his proposal. "YES!!!!!" Hoofnagle wrote when she shared the series of Instagram photos, which showed her with Darnold on a beach.
The photos showed them kissing, Darnold bent down on one knee, and the couple dancing on the beach. Darnold, 28, who went to college at USC, has eight years playing in the NFL, according to his Seahawks' biography. He has played for multiple other NFL teams, including the Minnesota Vikings and the Carolina Panthers. Darnold was set to play in the NFL championship game on January 25 despite an injury to his oblique.

She has also shared photos showing them at events, writing with one, "Such a fun night to close out your 7th year in the league! Darnold's contract with the Seahawks is for three years and is worth $100 million. He was the third pick in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft. Hoofnagle is a marketing specialist who worked as a loan officer, according to her LinkedIn page. She majored in nutrition and marketing at the University of South Carolina.
