Nine Bangladeshi nationals have been sentenced to two years of rigorous imprisonment and fined Rs 10,000 each by a local court in Bhubaneswar for illegally entering and staying in India without valid documents. This marks the first conviction of Bangladeshi infiltrators in Odisha. The group was apprehended by the special task force in March 2025.
