YouTube TV Releases Star-Studded Super Bowl Ad
Super Bowl Sunday means Super Bowl commercials. This week, dozens of major brands are rolling out their newest ads in advance of the big game.
YouTube TV released its Super Bowl LX commercial, “Don’t Settle for Meh,” on Wednesday morning. The 60-second spot argues that viewers shouldn't be content with a "meh" viewing experience and pitches YouTube TV as the solution to this issue.
Every company goes for a bit of star power in these ads, but YouTube TV's is particularly packed with recognizable faces.
Big names abound
"Don't Settle for Meh" features two people who have actually played in a Super Bowl--former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce and San Francisco 49ers star running back Christian McCaffrey--along with Kelce's wife and popular podcaster Kylie Kelce, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey, magician David Blaine and Olympic figure skating gold medalist Sarah Hughes.
"Teaming up with this incredible line up of talent allows us to highlight exactly why YouTube is the destination for fans to watch and engage with the biggest cultural moments around the world," said Angela Courtin, YouTube Marketing's VP of Entertainment and Sports. "YouTube is redefining sports and entertainment on all fronts, from the way creators and fans interact with the game to how they watch sports, ensuring that fans can finally get the most out of every play.”
Super Bowl LX on deck
The 60th edition of Super Sunday is in four days, with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots facing off at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
Seattle is currently a 4.5-point favorite to win its first Super Bowl in 12 years. The Patriots, meanwhile, are looking for their first title since the 2018 season.
Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. ET (though it'll probably be a few minutes after that) on NBC.
