Brooklyn Beckham Covers Tattoos Inspired by His Parents as Family Feud Escalates
The Beckham family feud continues to spiral toward the point of no return — and recent photos appear to show that Brooklyn Beckham has covered up a tattoo he got in honor of his father, David Beckham.
Page Six reported Wednesday that until recently Brooklyn, 26, sported an anchor tattoo that read "DAD." That tattoo has since been replaced by what seems to be two life preservers and a starfish.
The tattoo cover-up is the latest in a series of escalations of the family's ongoing feud. A source close to the situation told the outlet of Brooklyn's decision, "He wanted it gone."
Brooklyn Beckham also covered up a tattoo inspired by his mom
Brooklyn also reportedly covered up a second tattoo inspired by his mom, Victoria Beckham. "To see Brooklyn covering up Victoria’s tattoo, and now the one he had for his dad, will sting," the source added. "It seems very cruel and will add salt to the wounds."
Things between Brooklyn, his wife Nicola Peltz Beckham, and his family members took an extreme turn last month after the former photographer released a scathing statement via Instagram. In January Brooklyn insisted he "won't reconcile" with his parents or his siblings.
“My wife has been consistently disrespected by my family, no matter how hard we’ve tried to come together as one,” he also wrote via social media. “I have been silent for years and made every effort to keep these matters private.”
He even accused his parents of inventing and sharing information about him with media outlets.
“Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed,” he added.
Problems in the Beckham family date back to 2022
Trouble began brewing between members of the Beckham family after Brooklyn and Nicola got married in April 2022. The pair began dating in 2019 and got engaged in 2020.
Nicola initially denied rumors of any kind of family infighting. She told Cosmopolitan in 2023, "I’ve said this so many times: There’s no feud. I don’t know. No one ever wants to write the nice things. It’s really weird, actually, whether it’s my life or someone else’s life or whatever, when you know the truth and then you read something totally wrong."
Everything seemed quiet between the Beckhams until April 2025, when rumors of a falling out between Brooklyn and his brother Romeo Beckham surfaced, around the same time the latter began dating the former's ex-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. Brooklyn and Nicola didn't show up at David's 50th birthday the same month, which sowed more rumors of discontent.
Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows in August 2025 in a ceremony that didn't appear to be attended by anyone in the Beckham family, and the pair also failed to show up for the Netflix premiere of Victoria's Netflix documentary.
Brooklyn issued his statement in January 2026. So far, no one in the Beckham family has specifically responded to his complaints.
