I’m ready to admit it – Wuthering Heights is an awful, awful book

With a new big-budget film adaptation hitting our screens, the classic 19th-century novel is all anyone can talk about. It’s a shame, then, that it’s such an uncompromisingly terrible read, argues Helen Coffey
