'DÁKITI' Lyrics, English Translation & Meaning: Bad Bunny's Jhayco Collab Becomes Super Bowl Betting Favorite

Everyone is eagerly anticipating Bad Bunny‘s 2026 Super Bowl halftime show, and fans are all guessing which songs might make the set list, as well as which special guests could show up on stage.

On the prediction site Kalshi, one of the Top 10 most predicted songs to open the Super Bowl set is currently “DÁKITI.”

The track was originally announced back in October of 2020, and features Jhay Cortez, now known as Jhayco.

This was the first collaboration between the two artists following the remixes of “No Me Conoce” and “CÓMO SE SIENTE,” but their first non-remix song together, and became just the second fully Spanish-language song to debut within the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.

“We’ve collaborated on remixes, [but] we had never come up with a song from scratch, [from] the both of us, I don’t know. We’re making music to last a long time,” Bad Bunny told Apple Music.

“Dákiti is a nightclub in Puerto Rico, in the capital, in Old San Juan, and it’s also a beach in Culebra, which is a small island near Puerto Rico. So, we named it ‘Dákiti’ because, obviously, it’s a global hit, but I wanted it to have something culturally significant from Puerto Rico. Besides that, every time I listened to the song, all I could think about was the beach, nightclubs… What better name than one that encompasses both things: it’s a beach and also a nightclub,” Jhayco confirmed of the meaning behind the track’s title, via Genius.

“For me, it’s a dream come true to have the number one song in the world. [‘Dákiti’] is just one of those songs where you feel the melody. You feel the song even if you don’t understand the lyrics. That was my whole goal when I started making the song: I wanted a global song that could connect with everybody, no matter your race or the language,” he explained to W Magazine at the time.
