A special court in Balasore has handed down the death penalty to Chandan Rana for an acid attack that killed his second wife and severely injured three other family members. The heinous crime, which occurred in February 2023, saw Rana hurl acid after a domestic dispute. Six co-accused were acquitted due to lack of evidence.
