Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced that senior Congress leader Bhupen Kumar Borah will join the BJP on February 22. Borah, who recently resigned from the Congress, stated he is studying proposals from various parties and will contest the upcoming Assembly elections. He cited 'mental torture' within the Congress leadership as a reason for his departure.
