Ava Max Confirms She Left Atlantic Records in Candid Message to Fans

The 32-year-old “Sweet But Psycho” singer shared a candid message following her birthday on February 16, revealing she’s left her record label, Atlantic Records.

“Dear Avatars, Thank you so much for all the birthday wishes ????,” she began.

“The last three months have been some of the most inspiring of my life, just as the last year has been one of the most challenging and isolating. Sometimes life drags you to unexpected places, only for you to find the light.”

“In retrospect, I’m better off now because it taught me to stand up for what I believe in and not be afraid to speak up about what’s important to me. I had to change a few things around and do what’s best for the music I want to make. As hard as that was, and even though change can be scary, I’ve found a new love and passion for it all — similar to how I felt when I first started singing at 7 years old,” Ava wrote.

“As some of you may know… I’ve left my old label and started an exciting partnership to bring you this new era. This is a weight off my chest, and it brings me so much joy to share this news with you,” Ava continued.

“I’ve been in the studio for the last few months, quietly working on this new era. The new music has challenged me vocally and emotionally in a way like never before. Some of you may say, ‘You’re out of your mind,’ but that’s probably because I’ll always be a little psycho. To all my queens, we are unstoppable no matter the obstacles. Time to kill it,” she concluded, “Xoxo, Ava.”
