Eric Dane's Final Public Appearance Was Also His Red Carpet Debut with Girlfriend Janell Shirtcliff

Eric Dane‘s final red carpet marked a double special occasion.

The late actor, who passed away on Thursday (February 19), walked the carpet the premiere of his TV show Countdown in Los Angeles in June 2025, and it was also his debut with girlfriend Janell Shirtcliff.

Eric and Janell held hands while they posed for photos at the premiere event on June 18, 2025, which was his first public outing since announcing his ALS diagnosis just two months prior.

The actor also joined co-stars like Jessica Camacho, Violett Beane, Uli Latukefu, Elliot Knight, and Merrick McCartha, as well as Jensen Ackles, who he shared sweet moments with.

While the show was canceled after the one season, Jensen gushed about his time working with Eric on set of the Prime Video crime drama.

Despite Eric‘s relationship with Janell, he actually never got divorced from wife Rebecca Gayheart after their split in 2018. They called off their divorce after his ALS diagnosis and chose to remain a family, even though they were no longer a couple.

Eric‘s final TV appearance is set for the upcoming third season of Euphoria, which debuts on April 12th on HBO and HBO Max.
