NLV to pay $1.2M to settle lawsuit with deaf woman whose children police used to try to interpret before she was wrongly detained

North Las Vegas is settling a federal lawsuit with a deaf woman whose children were used to interpret police commands in an incident that escalated when an officer pulled her out of a car and shoved her to the ground , according to the complaint.
