The avalanche hit near Frog Lake on Tuesday, spanning roughly a football field. Officials say brutal weather and the risk of more avalanches keep crews out. On Friday, officials said they used water to break up unstable snow as part of avalanche mitigation. The operation includes air crews and multiple local rescue groups.
