Kara Braxton Dead: 2-Time WNBA Champion Dies at 43
Kara Braxton has sadly passed away.
The two-time WNBA Champion died at the age of 43, the organization confirmed in a statement on Sunday (February 22).
“It is with profound sadness that we mourn the passing of 2x WNBA Champion Kara Braxton,” they wrote on X.

“A 10-season veteran, Kara played with the Detroit Shock, Tulsa Shock, Phoenix Mercury, and New York Liberty. Our thoughts are with her family, friends, and former teammates at this time.”
There was no cause of death made public.
In addition to her decorated run in basketball, she was also a mother to two: Jelani Thurman, who played on the Ohio State football team, and Jream Jackson.
She is survived by her husband, Jarvis Jackson, and twin sister, Kim, per KGW8.
