Backstreet Boys add six more summer dates to Sphere residency

Due to fan demand, the Backstreet Boys have added six more summer dates to their Into the Millennium residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas.

The newly announced shows will take place July 30-31 and Aug. 1, 6-8, following previously announced performances on July 16-18 and July 23-25.

Fans who previously registered for the Artist Presale will have first access to tickets for the new dates starting today. The general on-sale for the added shows begins at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 27 at backstreetboys.com.

Since launching the residency last July as the first pop act to headline the Sphere, the group has performed 35 sold-out shows for more than 575,000 fans. The production nods to the band’s 1999 blockbuster album “Millennium,” with fans often dressed in all white in homage to the record’s cover.

The residency has drawn praise for its large-scale visuals and immersive staging inside the 17,600-seat venue. Highlights include the group’s signature choreography set against 360-degree visuals, as well as a sequence in which the band “flies” through space using the venue’s wraparound LED display and immersive sound system.
