'Bridgerton' Seasons 5 & 6 Leads Confirmed: Who Will Lead Netflix Series Next

Who will be the lead for Bridgerton season five and six?

Well, we do know the answers…we just don’t know specifics just yet.

Season 1 focused on Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor) and her love story with the Duke (Rege-Jean Page), season 2 focused on Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) and his future wife Kate (Simone Ashley), season 3 focused on Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) with his friend turned lover Penelope (Nicola Coughlan), and season 4 focuses on Benedict Bridgerton (Luke Thompson) and his love interest Sophie (Yerin Ha).

Showrunner, Jess Brownell, has shared some details.

“Both characters with the initials on my pocket squares will get seasons in 5 and in 6. In what order? I can’t say,” she teased to Deadline. The pocket square she was wearing clearly had an “E” and “F” on it, indicating that seasons five and six will focus on Eloise (Claudia Jessie) and Francesca (Hannah Dodd). It’s unclear which season will focus on which sister, but we’re assuming that information might be revealed soon after season four ends.

Jess was also asked directly if season five will be Eloise or Francesca’s season.

Jess responded, “I will say, the last three seasons have been focused on Bridgerton boys, so all I can say Seasons 5 and 6 are definitely about the middle Bridgerton girls. That’s as much as I can say.”

And then Variety asked if we will know by the “back half” of season four.

Jess then confirmed a detail: there will be clues that people can find.

“Similar to the end of Season 3, there are some clues for people to parse,” Jess said.

The major clue that Benedict would lead season four came at the end of season three, when the big masquerade ball was mentioned. In the book series, Benedict meets Sophie, his love interest, at a masquerade. It looks like we’ll get a similar clue for season 5 in season 4!
